DIGITIZING DATA using CHARTS and SCREENSHOTS – Step 2

2. Crop image file to fit scale using Paint editing commands as follows:

Procedure Steps: 2.1 Select plot area only using rectangular selection tool

Procedure Steps: 2.1 (continued)

Procedure Steps: 2.2 Cut area.

Procedure Steps: 2.3 Make new file (Do not save changes when closing original file)

Procedure Steps: 2.4 Paste the cut area onto the new blank file

Procedure Steps: 2.5 Save cropped image (note the filename for later use) 2.6 Close paint program
